Why I’m Running for Re-election
I’ve spent the last four years on Ashland City Council listening to the people of Ashland and developing a deep knowledge of our City.
I’ve been pushing forward on wildfire risk reduction, climate resilience, affordability, and supporting a thriving local economy — but there’s still more work to do.
That’s why I running for re-election. There are four open seats, and I am the only incumbent running. Our community will face several significant challenges over the next few years, and I believe that my four years of experience on the Council and my professional background will be an asset to Council deliberations.
This City Council election is unprecedented in that “Ashland voters, for the first time, will choose among candidates running for at-large, open council seats rather than individually numbered positions. Under the new system approved in 2024, the top three finishers out of 12 will earn four-year terms, while the fourth-place finisher will serve a two-year term.” (Ashland.news, August 25, 2026)
